Rain dampened the mood on the night I arrived, but the next day was lovely and sunny and I saw Spirit Fest come into its own. Lovely relaxed gathering, quality musicians and seekers who know sacred space. I joined the sweat lodge which was well held and I experienced a deep sense of stillness and cleansing.
I held my Cauldron of Manifestation workshop in the main tent. I had a couple of sweet picnics with friends, and also really enjoyed learning the rumba with Natalya and Andrew (pictured)…figures of eight through the hips, leading and following with a partner…I need to dance like this more often! They teach dance in London if you are interested in conscious approach to ballroom (http://into-me-i-see.net)
Songstresses and friends Ruth Blake and Olivia van Dort were lovely as ever. Murray Kyle is a magician & down to earth chap, who gets everyone up dancing just using his voice and a ‘loop’ device. Good to see Mbilu, who I met in Gabon 10 years ago, when coming to England with his partner Diane was but a dream, he played with the Ghana drummers in a seemingly effortless funky set. Dreams can come true…
