I've just spent the last couple of weeks walking the south west coast path from Westward Ho! in Devon to Landsend at the tip of Cornwall. It was truly exhilarating with the wind blowing in from the Atlantic, and dramatic views of rocky cliffs, coves and huge expanses of sea and sky. We were fortunate to see several pereguine falcons hovering virtually motionless above the cliffs, pairs of ravens doing synchronised flying displays, and seals frolicking together on the beach. We experienced a variety of weather, as you can imagine, but it was a blessing to finish the walk with our Indian summer heat wave.
We were especially touched by the spirit of the land and people of Cornwall, and the walk from St Ives to Landsend, through Zennor and Sennen cove, was particularly magical. We hope to return to do more walking here and visit the sacred sites on the moors.
