I just spent a wonderful couple of sunny days with a group of friends in Devon, on the edge of Dartmoor, with its soft rolling hills, mossy woodland and tumbling streams. It was great to meditate in my friends' beautiful meditation space, go walking, and to spend time around so many trees – I hugged a tree which was covered in moss, and when I pressed my cheek and hands against its trunk it was all soft and strokeable! Other highlights were going for a sauna and having a wonderful sing-song together in the wet room; and going into an old mine, where we spent some time in complete darkness and silence, then a friend played a didgeridoo, and we did some Buddhist chakra toning. Back in the house, I gave some healing sessions and then we celebrated a friends birthday and had a good dance. I was delighted since my friends have a jack russell dog who is sweet natured, and I have always had a soft spot for jack russells!
It was such a special couple of days and I am reminded of the value of spending quality time with friends out in nature, especially now that spring is in the air…
