I believe in a holistic approach to health and preventative medicine. July has been a strong cleansing month for me, with juicing, colonics, massage and an armful of herbal pills and tinctures. I also undertook hair, blood and saliva tests, as a kind of mid-fifties personal MOT to check for body weaknesses and food intolerances. I have found this to be a very useful – whilst expensive – process and with the aid of natural supplements, hormonal-balancing and exercise plan, I am on my way to my best health, weight and vitality.
There are so many different theories and opinions about diet, nutrition and ethics around food. I have friends who are passionate about being vegan, paleo, raw food, macro-biotic, organic, omnivores and more, with convincing data and research to back up their arguments. I have tried a few different eating regimes, so I tend to identify as ‘flexitarian’! Perhaps we can ‘live and let live’ and appreciate that different people suit different diets. Mine is very restricted at the moment, but I am committed to it if it supports me to my best health.
Something that showed up in my hair test was ‘mercury’ – I have one remaining amalgam filling to remove, and another was ‘radiation’ – which is prompting me to invest in a wi-fi shielding bed canopy. There is so much 4G and 5G around, that strong measures may be needed to protect our health.
