I have been focusing a lot of personal healing work on my throat this year. A lump started to grow on my thyroid. I had it checked at the doctors, who said I needed to have a high priority check at the hospital, “just to make sure its not cancer”. “They might want to remove your thyroid”, he said casually. I had a biopsy and scan. I got a phone message and letter saying “the biopsy was inconclusive but the scan was suspicious”. I needed to go back and see a group of doctors who would advise what to do next and take more tests. I assumed the word ‘suspicious’ meant that they suspected cancer.
I was actually very calm and accepting that if things went down the terminal path, and my time was up, so be it, and hopefully I would have time to record my songs and write my book and have another big holiday to let go of this life, and prepare for ‘the big journey”… I started to give more consideration to the priority order of my bucket list…After a holistic healing session where I did a lot of shouting and releasing, the lump shrank to about half or a third of the size. I also received some helpful insights whilst journeying and meditating, on how to keep my thyroid happy…
Anyway, I went to the hospital yesterday and they said that they had sent me the wrong letter by mistake, and in fact the doctors had looked at my scan and decided I need no further tests, its just a cyst and come back in 6 months! After that, I shared a magical time with Emma at Ludlow Fringe festival, including seeing a profound Divine Feminine art exhibition by Lisa Lockhead, outdoor evening theatre performance in Ludlow castle of Shakespeare’s ‘As you like it’, a sacred sharing about sex in the cathedral, and time out by the river…
It feels extra good to be alive and well!
