The year of the Rat begins on 7th February 2008. Legend has it that the rat arrived first when Buddha was naming each year in the twelve year cycle after animals (apparantly he rode on the ox's back and jumped into 1st place). So the rat begins the twelve year sequence, and typically brings a year of hard work, acticity and renewal. This is a good year to make a fresh start, begin a new job, get married or launch a new product. Your ventures may not yield fast returns, but opportunities and rewards will come to those who are well prepared, resourceful and work hard. Do not take financial risks and beware of petty arguments. The best way to succeed is to be patient, let things develop slowly, and make the most of every opportunity that comes your way. This is generally a happy, lucky and sociable year!
